Who is up for a fun run? Something like TCD to Stingaree, or some area, picnic or TCD around Mid-Bay Island and back?

cheers...

Anyone ever sailed from TCD to Baytown?  Basically alongside the Houston Ship Channel all the way?  I'm kind of thinking about that one weekend when the winds are out of SW.  I'm guessing 30ish miles, haven't really looked at a chart.  I know Redfish was like 11 miles from the Dike if I recall.

We have a boat launch in our neighborhood off Burnett Bay near the Lynchburg Ferry.  Could be a cool day sail, the only worry is actually having to sail in the ship channel or right next to it when you round Barbours Cut and head under the Fred Hartman Bridge.  It would probably be advisable to have a chase boat or Jet Ski along for the ride.

You would need to have someone bring your truck/trailer to Baytown after launching at TCD.

I work the channel all the time.   As a professional mariner, id be leary of doing an event like this....as long as passing morgans was planned right it wouldnt be bad.  Most of the route between morgans and baytown can be sailed outside the channel but it shallows very quickly.
